Berry Blast is a colorful, pet-themed merge puzzle game designed for the large-scale digital displays at Edmonton Public Library Downtown. Built around accessibility, readability, and quick-session gameplay, the experience invites players to drop and combine adorable items while working toward satisfying board-clearing “Berry Blast” moments.

Across three themed levels inspired by cats, dogs, and hamsters, players strategically stack and merge matching items to progress through increasingly fast-paced gameplay. With charming visuals, expressive characters, and playful animations, Berry Mix was created to be instantly approachable for all ages while remaining engaging and rewarding to master.

IMPORTANT NOTE / READ ME

Berry Mix was originally created for the massive three-panel touchscreen display at Edmonton Public Library Downtown. Because the game was designed around a wide multi-screen setup, the desktop version may behave differently from a traditional PC game.

When playing on your computer, imagine your monitor divided into three vertical sections placed side-by-side:

  • ✅ Left section = interactive
  • ❌ Middle section = inactive
  • ✅ Right section = interactive

The center portion of the screen does not register gameplay input. To control the game properly, interact only on the left or right side of your screen.

How to Play

  1. Click and hold your mouse on either the left or right side of the screen.
  2. Move the berry/dispenser horizontally while holding.
  3. Release the mouse to drop the item into the container.
  4. Merge matching items and build toward satisfying “Berry Blast” moments.

Installation

  1. Download the .zip folder
  2. Extract/unzip the files
  3. Launch the Unity application: Berry Blast Main.exe
